Day 262 ~ Thunderbird Mountain Glendale, AZ

December 12th, 2016 ~ Day 262

Traveling from Chicago and arriving in Phoenix at 3 am, I took the day off of work. I didn’t get out of bed for half the day and I didn’t make it to the trails until after one.

Heading to Thunderbird Mountain, Eric and I did the easy 1.6 mile loop. I was still exhausted and drained from my trip. I wasn’t even in the mood to hike, but here I am, continuing on my journey. A nice leisurely hike around the mountain.

I am so absolutely grateful to live in Phoenix! 75 degrees on the trails has never felt more amazing in my life. It felt like a beautiful spring day, yet in the middle of December. After the freezing cold weather I was in the last few days, this was a little too warm, but I will take it. This is so much better than freezing. Never again will I complain about the cold mornings in Arizona.

Join me on my journey of hiking everyday for 365 days, to see all that I can see! Never miss out on a post and “like” me on Facebook and for more photos follow me on Instagram!
