May 14th, 2016 ~ Day 50
I can’t believe it’s been 50 days!
Today’s hike was at Desert Vista Trailhead. I’ve been here a couple times and kinda knew where I was going. It was hot out today, in the 90’same. A late start made for warmer weather. I didn’t have to take the kids so I was able to do almost three miles.
When I came up to the parking area, there were police officers with their lights on, and helicopters were flying overhead. It was a nerve-wracking and have me a little anxiety about hiking alone. Especially on a trail I’m not to familiar with. I do have my GPS and always take a picture of the map, but the number one rule for hiking is “never hike alone”. I need to find more hiking buddies. 😊

The scenery in this trail was amazing. The flowers on the saguaros were blooming still. I thought they were done for the year. I saw a bird on top of a saguaro and of course the bees were collecting their nectar. A beautiful way to start the day.
