Day 13 ~ Thunderbird Mountain Glendale, AZ

April 7th, 2016 ~ Day 13

13-1

I was late getting to the trails again, but even though my timing wasn’t perfect, I still decided to do the two-and-a-half-mile loop around Thunderbird. I really need to figure out how to get out of bed earlier in the morning. I am not feeling to good today, and so I was a little slower hiking the trail.

Hiking the Desert Iguana, Chuckwalla, Sunrise, Ridgeline and Coachwhip Trails to make my two-and-a-half-mile loop. I really do not like that they have so many trail names at this park. My heading is always going to be Thunderbird Mountain, only because, I never know which trail I’m on unless I’m looking at the map.

There were a lot of clouds in the skies this morning. It looked like it could rain, but this is Arizona and it hardly ever rains here. The sun was beginning to rise, but with the clouds in the sky, I was only able to glimpse a lining of pink the over the mountain.

It was a beautiful morning for a hike. Although I wasn’t feeling well, I still made it out to the trails for a hike. I am determined to complete this journey. Only being on day 13, I have a long way to go. One day at a time and I only have today. Love this life!
